Dr. Divya Nair is Chief Technical Officer at Last Mile Health, leading the Health Systems Strengthening and Global Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning teams to support work across Ethiopia, Liberia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Africa Frontline First. Her teams’ work spans health financing, digital health, clinical systems, and workforce education, reflecting Last Mile Health’s comprehensive approach to building community health systems that deliver quality care sustainably and at scale.
Divya brings 20 years of experience working with governments, multilaterals, donors, and NGOs to turn good ideas into real-world results. In South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond, her areas of focus have included on health, nutrition, women’s and girls’ empowerment, financial inclusion, agriculture, and water and sanitation hygiene.
Prior to Last Mile Health, she spent six years at IDinsight leading engagements with national and state governments and major NGOs across India. She has also worked with the World Bank, IFAD, and the Institute for Health Policy in Washington DC, Rome, and Colombo.
She holds a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MPA from Princeton University.
